Summary
The Texas Human Resources Management Statutes Inventory (Inventory) summarizes the human resource management statutes that apply to Texas state employees. It is provided by the State Auditor’s Office as a guide to assist state agencies and institutions of higher education. The Inventory, first published in 1972 and updated every two years, is a compilation of state and federal laws that apply to human resource management. This edition reflects changes made in the 80th Legislative Session. In some cases, the statutes, policies, and procedures in the Inventory do not apply to employees of certain agencies, institutions of higher education, and agencies in the legislative branch.
