Course Description

THIS COURSE WILL BE OFFERED VIRTUALLY

 

Productivity is unique, personal, and essential to progress. The most effective people are the ones who maximize their own productivity while also recognizing and managing the productivity styles of those on their team. Research indicates that understanding brain functions is essential to enhancing outputs.

 

This session will discuss focus on your unique style and how to use that to make improvements in your office, your day and your collaboration.

Instructors

Jo Dale Guzman

Jo Dale Guzman is the Professional Development Manager at the Texas State Auditor's Office. In her current role, she oversees the training events for both the State Auditor's Office staff and open enrollment training that is attended by state and local auditors. In addition to training, Mrs. Guzman is also on the hiring and onboarding team for incoming auditors. Prior to her current role, Mrs. Guzman was a program manager for the Texas Municipal Courts Education Center where she coordinated bailiff and warrant officer training and a statewide court clerk certification program. She was an adjunct faculty member at Texas State University-San Marcos for five years.

Mrs. Guzman has a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from Saint Edward's University and a Master's of Science in Criminal Justice from Texas State University-San Marcos. She has authored articles for various state and national publications and her areas of instruction include FranklinCovey's Leadership, 5 Choices and Project Management. She is an avid reader and has a passion for dress code.


Additional Information

TAC Rule 523.142(g) requires the CPE Sponsor to monitor individual attendance and assign the correct number of CPE credits. Participants will be asked to document their time of arrival and departure in compliance with this Rule. Additionally, attendance will be monitored throughout the day and CPE certificates will reflect actual attendance of each participant.

If you are making travel plans to come to Austin, we recommend making "refundable" air and hotel reservations or waiting until 14 days before the class to actually book your reservations. Courses are occasionally canceled or rescheduled due to low enrollment. We determine whether a course has enough participants 16 days prior to the course date. If we cancel or reschedule, we will email the participant and his or her billing contact no later than 14 days before the original class date.

The course coordinator will contact you with parking information. Handicapped parking is free at the meters around the downtown area.

Vending machines with Coca-Cola products and various snack items are available. There is also a refrigerator and microwave in our coffee bar area. Feel free to bring in your own drinks and food if you prefer.

You might want to bring a light sweater or jacket, as room temperatures vary.
