A Quarterly Report of Full-Time Equivalent State Employees for the Quarter Ending May 31, 1995

There were 266,784 full-time equivalent state employees for the quarter ending May 31, 1995, according to reports filed by 211 state agencies and institutions of higher education. There were 245,745 full-time state employees and 57,124 part-time state employees.

The number of full-time equivalent state employees increased by 3,827 (or 1.46 percent) over the quarter ending February 28, 1995.

The majority of the increase (1,572 FTEs) was in the Department of Criminal Justice which is the result of staffing for new prison units.
